A new walking trail that spans six locations traces Singapore’s history while highlighting the importance of defence. By scanning QR codes at the landmarks with the ActiveSG mobile app, hikers can earn points and win prizes. The trail was launched to commemorate this year’s Total Defence Day. At The Float @ Marina Bay, which is one of trail landmarks, 60 SAF recruits were presented with their rifles. Culture, Community and Youth Minister Edwin Tong said total defence is more than just keeping armed aggressors at bay. It’s also about the country coming together to overcome crises.
