A study done locally has found that virtual reality can be used as a form of distraction,
to reduce anxiety in children during immunisation. It is the first such study that involved 30 children between the ages of four and 10 at SingHealth Sengkang Polyclinic. There are plans to use the technology for COVID-19 vaccinations as well.
