Singapore’s first-ever national aviation safety plan will include steps to tackle COVID-19 risks. It means reviews on training of flight crew, air control and aircraft maintenance to prevent malfunctions after prolonged inactivity. These are among the 50 safety actions that include reassessing policies and procedures over the next three years to help the sector emerge safely from the pandemic. Civil aviation authorities said it comes amid new technology, automation, and infrastructure changes, such as rebuilding of Runway 2 at Changi Airport.
