Singapore Airlines could return to black later this year, according to analysts who point to the faster-than-expected aviation sector recovery. SIA is planning to ramp up passenger capacity to 67% of pre-COVID levels by September, while trimming its annual net loss by 77.5% to S$962 million. One analyst said the Singapore carrier is in a stronger position to seize recovery compared to its peers because it kept its staff ready for service. But he warned of potential headwinds ahead, such as higher fuel prices and the possibility of another COVID-19 variant.
