Workers in Singapore’s waste management sector can expect up to 50% more in wages in the coming years as they pick up new skills and land better jobs. It’s among key recommendations accepted by the government under a new progressive wage model for the sector. Minimum starting salaries for waste management workers are set to increase under a multi-year schedule, and will be reviewed in 2025. There are currently PWMs for the cleaning, security, landscape maintenance, and lift and escalator maintenance sectors.
