Despite the lifting of border restrictions with Malaysia, Singapore’s renovation industry is not expecting a quick relief for projects held up due to manpower shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is especially given recent bottlenecks in approving vehicle entry permits for motorists entering Singapore. The Renovation Contractors and Material Suppliers Association and renovation firms have warned that the industry is only likely to get back up to speed in the later half of 2022.
