New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is in Singapore on her first official overseas engagement since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During her three-day visit, Ms Ardern will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and call on President Halimah Yacob. A new orchid hybrid will also be named in her honour. In 2021, Singapore was New Zealand’s fifth largest trading partner, recording nearly US$4.5 billion in two-way trade.
