Singapore and New Zealand are collaborating on future air travel that’s powered by plants and waste oils. The countries will study the scale, costs and viability of using green aviation fuel. Singapore’s Transport Minister S Iswaran said the partnership can serve as a pathfinder to decarbonise the aviation sector. He stressed that if no action is taken, carbon emissions by the global aviation sector could more than double by 2050 from 2019 levels.
