Millions more in lockdown after China detects Omicron cases in Anyang, Tianjin cities

Millions more people in China have been placed in lockdown in a bid to prevent Omicron from spreading. Two cases in Anyang have been linked to a growing cluster in Tianjin. All non-essential businesses in the city have been ordered shut, while a mass testing drive has been launched. China reported 110 new locally transmitted cases on Jan 11. The growing outbreak is raising concerns over the Beijing Winter Olympics, but organisers said there are no plans to adjust curbs for the Games yet.
