Singapore travel agencies are set to get more guidance on tour packages to Japan next Tuesday (June 7), when Tokyo unveils more details. It ran a pilot tour involving travel agencies in four countries. The trial will help formulate guidelines for travel and accommodation operators in case of COVID-19 infections. From June 10, Japan will welcome tourists from nearly 98 countries and regions, but travellers will be kept on a controlled itinerary. Japan said it’s now allowing 20,000 people — including tourists on guided package tours — to enter the country each day.
