Hong Kong will launch its COVID-19 vaccine pass on Thursday (Feb 24). Only those who have been vaccinated can enter government venues and places like shopping malls and restaurants. Requirements for the pass will also be tightened over the next few months to include booster shots. On Feb 21, daily infections hit a new high of 7,533 cases. 13 more people have died, including an 11-month-old child. The ever-tightening rules are having a chilling effect on the once bustling financial hub, leading some to question the government’s zero-COVID policy.
