A helpline for seniors, manned by seniors. Call agents are trained to lend a listening ear to those experiencing loneliness and isolation. Those calling in will also be linked to the relevant service providers. It will first cater to Ang Mo Kio residents. The pilot was launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at Teck Ghee Community Centre. There are currently 30 volunteers who will man the hotline during office hours on weekdays. The hotline is an initiative by charity group ACES Care and social enterprise Octopus8.
