Djokovic resumes training for Australian Open but deportation threat still looms

Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has started training for the Australian Open after his surprise courtroom victory, but his search for a record 21st Grand Slam hangs in the balance. A judge may have overturned the Australian government’s decision to cancel Djokovic’s visa, but the unvaccinated 34-year old continues to face the threat of deportation. Australia’s immigration minister is expected to make the decision soon. Still, Djokovic has said he is determined to stay in Melbourne and compete in the Australian Open.
