Hong Kong has reached a preliminary agreement with China to allow travellers to first quarantine in the territory before they cross the border to Shenzhen. The reverse quarantine programme is expected to help boost travel into mainland China. Travellers who cross the border currently need to be quarantined in a mainland hotel for seven days, followed by three days of home surveillance.
