Studies will be conducted to shore up coastal protection at Jurong Island and Singapore’s northwest. It will look at using structures like sea walls and nature-based solutions for these locations. There are dams and dykes located along the 24-km northwestern coast from Tuas to Lim Chu Kang. These structures need to be protected from seawater entering. Further up the northwest coast, there are several nature parks and farms in Lim Chu Kang before reaching the Woodlands Checkpoint.
