China warns hospitals against rejecting patients over COVID-19 curbs

China has reported fewer COVID cases as several cities have curbed movements. At the same time, a top official has warned hospitals not to turn away patients after a woman’s miscarriage during a lockdown in Xi’an sparked outrage. Xian is into its 16th day of lockdown, although officials said the outbreak there has been brought under control. Residents have complained about curtailed access to food and medical care. The city government has now said that people without proof of a negative test result within 48 hours should not be stopped from leaving their homes to go to hospital.
