48,000 unvaccinated employees in Singapore, down from 52,000 in Dec 2021

In Parliament on Jan 10, Parliamentary Secretary Rahayu Mahzam said the move to only allow those vaccinated to enter the workplace could have encouraged more to get their jabs. The number of unvaccinated employees is down to 48,000 from 52,000 in December. A third — or about 16,000 — are aged 30 to 39, forming the largest group. Non-Constituency MP Hazel Poa had asked the government to rescind the ban on those unvaccinated from returning to the workplace.
